Overview
EduGuide Cambodia is a research prototype idea for an intelligent decision support system that helps Cambodian students explore university majors, higher education pathways, and career directions. The project is still in the planning stage and has not yet been implemented.
Research Motivation
Choosing a major is often difficult for students when information is scattered across university websites, scholarship pages, and government documents. Many students also need more personalized guidance that reflects their interests, academic strengths, financial situation, and career goals.
This project explores how AI could support that decision-making process in a more transparent and evidence-based way.
Proposed Direction
- Use an LLM to gather student preferences through conversation
- Represent relationships between students, majors, universities, scholarships, and careers in a knowledge graph
- Retrieve official supporting documents with RAG
- Generate explainable recommendations backed by trusted sources
